The following section is where free form comments are added and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS There were no variations to IWSF rules. Tournament delays or issues on Day 1: 1) Issues with speed control caused the swapout of boats. Issue seemed to resolve itself later upon subsequent testing after the day's events. Could have been pilot error. 2) Lost power to the video camera in the boat during slalom. Reverted to a self-powerd video camera. Problem turned out to be that the boat was only providing 8.5 volts from the cigaette plugs. Power was drawn directly from the battery the next time the same boat was used. 3) Tape player or video tape issues for the end course video. Video stream was interrupted a couple of times. It later noticed that the video was not recording when it should have. We had to break the tape to get it out of the tape player. The tape player was replaced with a backup. Tournament delays or issues on Day 2: 1) Lost about 5 to 10 minutes during slalom due losing power to an to an end course camera. Diagnosis proved that the GFI outlet that provided the power to the camera tripped. 2) End course security camera housing was not water tight and heavy rains fell overnight. Water got into the housing and when the sun came out, it caused vapor on the housing glass, thus obsuring the course like heavy fog. In an attempt to dry out the housing, the power terminals to the camera broke off. Replaced the camera with a camcorder, but could not get a good wireless signal to the judges' stand. Finally gave up on the wireless link and recorded the video in the camera. Tournament delays or issues on Day 3: 1) Lost about 5 to 10 minutes during slalom dues to a circuit breaker tripping. 2) About one hour of boat path was not video taped because the recorder was set on SP speed when it was assumed to be SLP speed. 3) Lost power to the canera in the boat. The problem was determined to be the 12v DC to 9.6v DC power converter. Replaced the power converter with a 12v DC to 110v AC power inverter and then the 110v AC to 9.6v DC transformer. Tournament delays or issues on Day 4: 1) A very bizarre event ocurred that no one can explain. Apparently the mid-time jump magnets switched polarity between Friday and Sunday. The magnets were never removed and we cannot ascertain how they could have come in contact with one another. Diagnosing and resolving the problem caused about 20 minutes longer that otherwise to conduct the transition from slalom to jump. 2) Minor signal quality loss on one gate monitor was cause by corroded connections. Cleaning the connections resolved the issue.
